THE HEADSHOT 2 GO PROCESS...
Here's how it works.
-
Book the shoot.
-
Wear whatever makes you feel good. Most of the clothing will be cropped out anyway, but try to avoid bold or busy patterns as they will distract from your face.
-
The shoot itself takes about 30-minutes and is almost painless. (Frankly, if we don't get what we need in those first few minutes, when we're both fresh, we probably wouldn't get if we clicked away all day.) After we've shot a bunch, we both evaluate the initial results full-screen on the computer (No more tiny proofs.) and decide what to emphasize based upon what we already see. Then, we shoot some more to refine the process.
-
Together, we view the full results (somewhere between 50 and 100 shots at this point) and pick the four we like the best. These go into PhotoShop CS3, where they're cropped and quick-color-corrected to select the picture that's the most YOU. This part of the process can take anywhere from 10-minutes to half an hour ... I like for you to take as much time as you need to choose -- within reason.
-
I spend about 40-minutes improving things: spiffing up the eyes, zapping the transient zits and cold sores, minimizing imperfections and softening laugh-lines in very much the same way a diligent makeup person would on set. (I'll happily brighten your teeth a little, for example, but I won't give you more than you actually have. I could, but I won't.)
-
In less than two hours from your arrival, a lab-quality, 8 X 10 print rolls out of the printer, ready for mass reproduction. (See Frequently Asked Questions for advice about what to do next.)
-
If you find that it's a picture that will enhance your chances of getting noticed and hired, take it, and pay me $150 (cash or check).
-
If the finished 8 X 10 is not something you feel you can use, just say so. No hard feelings. You keep your money. The most we can both lose is an hour or two. I'm willing to risk it....
See? Painless and stress free. |
